Snow is a spayed female pit bull mix who
is almost a year and a half old. She weighs
around 55 pounds and is deaf. She was rescued
from a city pound but once it was discovered
she was deaf, her owners realized they would
be unable to meet her special needs.
Snow
came to Adopt-a-Dog in the fall of 2009 and
has won over the hearts of all who have met
her. The staff at the shelter have been training
Snow using different hand signals, and she has
learned sit and lie down. Snow loves to play,
and gets along well with most of the dogs she
meets.
Anyone interested in adopting Snow
may contact the shelter at 914-273-1674, ext.
2, or e-mail adoptions@adoptadog.org.
This is the fifth in our continuing series on adoptable
animals in area shelters. — Photos by Koren Reyes
