You're going to have a lot of images to digest after your shoot. To create a pleasing display that you and your child will treasure for decades to come, I highly recommend you sign up for a proofing session.

Proofing sessions take about two and a half hours. That may seem like a long time, but it flies by. This is the optimal way to 1) choose your favorite photos, 2) create custom layouts that suit your photos best, and 3) get the selection process done efficiently.

A lot of people ask why the prints are so expensive.
The hard costs are easy to understand; they're the cost of the space, the lighting equipment and all the light modifiers, the backgrounds, the camera and lenses, the computer and all the peripherals required to create and redundantly store a digital image. None of these last long so replacement costs are part of the expense of a going concern.
The soft costs are more complex. They include the time it has taken me to create this expertise, my personality and presence that makes it really easy to get naked, my artistic eye and my skill in bringing all of these pieces together.
